From Gradišar's Signing to Al Ahly Egypt
Al Ahly SC has officially announced through its platforms the signing of Slovenian striker Nejc Gradišar from Hungarian club Fehérvár during the current winter transfer window.
The club confirmed the deal, revealing that Gradišar has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract after finalizing all agreements with Fehérvár.

Who is Nejc Gradišar?
Born on August 6, 2002, in the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, Gradišar began his football journey in the youth ranks of Bravo, a Slovenian club. He made his senior debut in the 2019-2020 season in the Slovenian PrvaLiga.
He then spent two seasons in the second division, scoring 23 goals in 55 matches while playing for Brežice and Rogaška. His stint with Rogaška was particularly fruitful, helping the club secure promotion to the top tier. Gradišar shone in the Slovenian Cup, scoring 8 goals in 14 league games during that campaign.
Overall, Gradišar’s time at Rogaška was his most prolific, with 27 goals in 58 matches, leading to his move to Fehérvár in Hungary.
Impressive Performances in Hungary
Gradišar quickly made his mark in the Hungarian league. This season, Fehérvár sits in 7th place with 21 points, trailing the leaders by 14 points, and Gradišar is the team’s top scorer.
The young striker has netted 7 goals in 17 league matches and provided 2 assists, totaling 9 goal contributions—more than any other player on his team. He also ranks as the league’s second-highest scorer with 7 goals.

Key Stats and Style of Play
All of Gradišar’s goals this season have come from inside the penalty area. Out of his 26 shots, he has scored twice with headers and five with his right foot, while he is yet to score with his left foot.
Interestingly, Gradišar rarely ventures outside the box, having only taken four shots from outside the area in 17 matches.
Despite his limited range, the striker is known for his frequent attempts on goal. He averages at least one shot on target per game, with 17 accurate attempts over 17 matches.
However, Gradišar is also among the top players for missed chances in the Hungarian league, having squandered 10 big chances—an average of less than one per game.

International Career
Gradišar made his international debut for Slovenia a year ago in a friendly against the United States. Despite being his first senior appearance, he needed just 26 minutes to score his maiden international goal, leading Slovenia to a 1-0 victory.
The 21-year-old now joins Al Ahly, where his goal-scoring abilities and potential promise to strengthen the club’s attack for years to come.
